We Need You!
I'm wondering if I could ask for your help. I entered a 5k walk/run to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I will not be running or walking. I will be rolling, which on this particular occasion is not only permissable, but highly appropriate! The MDA provides patients with doctor visits as needed. They keep a 'closet' with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) to give to those who can't otherwise afford it. And they are leaders in the field of much needed research for neuromuscular diseases of many types. In addition, they offer counseling, support and friendship to patients and their families. You see, the MDA is ALL about patient AND family care.
So back to my original point. Please help me raise money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, so they can help people in need. Your money will be well spent. In fact, for this event, all proceeds will go to help the families in my area who have children or parents with neuromuscular disease. I will get to see, firsthand, how our money is being implemented and I can keep you apprised of the progress being made. There is so much need. And so I thank you.
